VERIFICATION REGISTER
Did we test this product?
Type the app name, the site address or the company name. If it is in the register you get the certificate, its scope and its validity date; if it is not, it is not.
This register currently holds example records. The entries below are not real customers; they are here to show how the register works, and their names say EXAMPLE. The notice disappears on its own once real certificates are entered.
It does not matter how you type the address; https:// and www. are ignored.

What verification means, and what it does not
- We tested one versionA certificate records the testing we did on the stated version on the stated date. It does not cover later versions.
- The scope is in writingWhich tests were run, on which platforms, is listed on the certificate itself. Anything outside that list is outside the scope.
- It is not a guarantee of no bugsNo amount of testing can prove a product has no defects. A certificate says a defined scope was independently exercised. It does not say more than that.
This is how the badge looks on a verified site
When a customer passes, they put this badge in their own footer. It is not decoration but a link: whoever clicks it lands here, on that certificate's record in the register.
How to spot a fake badge
The badge is not the proof; the register is. Click a badge: if it does not take you to a certificate page on sendthecanary.com, or the page it opens does not say valid, there is no certificate behind it. Copying a badge image is easy for anyone. Producing the record in this register is not.
The badge itself is not the proof — where it goes is. If the link leads anywhere other than sendthecanary.com, or the page it opens does not say Valid, there is no certificate behind it.
